Why use 3D modeling in
interior architecture?
3D modeling is much more than just a technological gadget; it's the foundation of our work with you! It allows you to concretely envision your future interior, move around in the space, appreciate the volumes, colors, materials... In short, you can visualize everything as if you were there!
With 3D modeling, you can also validate layout and decoration choices in advance, which helps avoid unpleasant surprises and additional costs.
Moreover, 3D modeling is a fantastic communication tool that allows you to share your project with your loved ones to gather feedback from those who know you best, which is great when you're having trouble making a decision!
In short, 3D allows you to:
-
Save time : By visualizing your project in 3D, you can make decisions more quickly and avoid unnecessary back-and-forth.
-
Avoid mistakes : By visualizing your project in 3D, we can detect potential design errors and correct them before they become costly.
-
Make informed choices : By visualizing your project in 3D, you can compare different layout and decoration options and choose the one that suits you best.
-
Envision the future : By visualizing your project in 3D, you can project yourself into the future and imagine how your interior will evolve over the years.
The (almost) secret recipe
for our 3D visuals
At Perspectives Architecture & Design, we believe that creativity and rigor can go hand in hand. That’s why we have a recipe for creating 3D visuals that allows us to delight you with high-quality images and videos :
The list of ingredients :
-
Several computers (one will do, but it might take a very long time)
-
Software : SketchUp, Lumion, 3Dsmax or Twilight, Photoshop
Preparation time:
Watch out for loading times for 3D models ; they can be very long and vary significantly, especially when we start creating outdoor 3D models due to lighting and textures.
The different stages of modeling :
1. 3D modeling in SketchUp : We create a 3D model of your interior project based on the existing space (or the plans). Here, we create several versions, rethinking the spaces by opening up or partitioning them. We also integrate furniture and equipment that you might like (or that might push you out of your comfort zone) using our extensive library of 3D furniture we've built up over the years, along with our many references. If we don’t have an exact reference, we model it ourselves (like pros).
2. Transitioning from SketchUp to rendering software : We use professional software like Lumion, 3Dsmax, or Twilight, which allows us to create high-quality images and videos. We add light beams to simulate natural and artificial lighting. We apply the textures and materials you’ve chosen for an even more realistic 3D render (wood grain, leather of the sofa, linen of the curtains…). We can also create animations to simulate water flow, fire, or characters (though, we’re not Pixar, either).
3. Touch-ups in Photoshop : We make final adjustments to the images and videos by tweaking brightness, contrast, saturation, etc. We can also add special effects for an even more spectacular render (but always within the limits of good taste).
Thanks to this process, our interior architects can offer you high-quality 3D immersions that allow you to envision your future interior and confidently validate your choices ! And if you feel comfortable with the recipe, you can even try making it yourself !

Learn more about our areas of intervention
Our regional expertise extends throughout Paris intra-muros. Although our interior design firm is historically located at 261 rue du faubourg Saint-Martin in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, this does not prevent us from working everywhere! Currently, we have completed projects in the 9th, 10th, 13th, 15th, 17th and 19th arrondissements.
We also work in the inner suburbs (Hauts-de-Seine 92, Seine-Saint-Denis 93, Val-de-Marne 94). In Hauts de Seine, we mainly work in Asnières-sur-Seine, Bois-Colombes, Colombes, Courbevoie, La Garennes-Colombes and Levallois-Perret since these are the towns around where we live. We are also keen on projects in the surrounding areas: Reuil-Malmaison, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Boulogne Billancourt....
We have an extraordinary advantage for getting around: we are on a motorbike! So we no longer have any limits (not even traffic jams): in this way our radius of action also extends to other cities in the Île-de-France, covering Essonne (91), Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78) and Val d'Oise (95). Among the many cities, we can mention La-Celle-Saint-Cloud, Charenton-le-Pont, Chatou, Le Vésinet, Versailles, Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, Marnes-la-Coquette, Vaucresson, Maisons-Laffitte, Sceaux, Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, and many others.
We also offer to carry out projects remotely, as was the case, for example, with this project in Athens . Once the quote has been taken, we work on our computers, so it's easy to work remotely! And let's not lie to ourselves, since COVID, it has become a habit to hold meetings on Zoom, Googlemeet, or Teams...
