RENOVATION AND EXTENSION OF A HOUSE IN CHAMPIGNY-SUR-MARNE
BRIGHTON WOOD PROJECT
A pavilion from the 1930s
We have refurbished the first floor of this building to make it more spacious. For this we have removed the partitions between kitchen and living room for a more open and spacious space. A simple bookcase delimits the spaces while the imitation parquet tiling marks continuity between the two rooms. We have also created bespoke, built-in storage and an additional worktop in the kitchen.

Between traditional and contemporary
We have used here the transitional style, a mix between the traditional and the contemporary. Our goal here: to enhance the old and succeed in keeping the spirit of the 1930s in the building. The elements of the kitchen are therefore essential. An old ceramic sink is matched with zinc and brass fittings. The pretty gas cooker between modernity and old reminds us of that of our parents and grandparents! On the ground, there are cement tiles reminiscent of yesteryear. Elsewhere in the apartment, the lime fireplace has been preserved and renovated, as has the old woodwork in the entrance.
