PROJET CHICAGO STEEL
On the first floor of this 50 m² duplex designed for two people, you'll find the living room, dining area, and kitchen. We aimed to make the most of the high ceiling typical of Parisian apartments. To achieve this, we eliminated the stair risers and removed the railing. The apartment is bright and colorful, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere.

By rethinking the layout, we successfully broke down the walls, creating an open kitchen and integrating an elegant glass partition to separate the living space from the resting area. These clever design choices allowed natural light to flow seamlessly through the heart of the apartment, enhancing its full potential and giving it an exceptional ambiance.

Ce choix architectural fort est complété par des codes industriels assumés :

un escalier sans contremarches, épuré, avec des lignes franches,

une palette sobre et contrastée : noir mat, bois clair, blanc lumineux,

des lignes graphiques en cimaise, qui évoquent subtilement les poutres métalliques d’une structure acier et reprennent les codes d'une structure apparente,
-
du mobilier mêlant bois naturel et métal noir, sélectionné pour son équilibre entre robustesse et esthétisme, rappelant de vieux établis
-
et des carreaux de métro blancs dans la cuisine, aux joints noirs pour une touche graphique mi usine mi parisienne.
Ces détails viennent rythmer les murs et affirmer le caractère architectural du lieu, sans l’alourdir.
Résultat : un intérieur contemporain, au caractère affirmé, mais parfaitement intégré à la structure existante du duplex.

La cuisine ouverte, dans un alignement bois / blanc / noir, prolonge naturellement le séjour. L’absence de cloison et le traitement graphique des carreaux de métro renforcent la cohérence avec le reste du projet.
L’escalier sans contremarches, la mezzanine ajourée, la bibliothèque garde-corps, tous ces éléments architecturaux ont été pensés pour laisser respirer l’espace tout en organisant clairement les fonctions.Une rénovation de duplex à Paris réussie, c’est avant tout un lieu qui se vit bien, où chaque détail participe à la fluidité et au confort du quotidien.

Notre bibliothèque est composée d’une série de cubes modulables en bois que nous avons conçus comme des unités mobiles. Ces cubes peuvent être déplacés, empilés, réorganisés selon les envies ou les usages de nos clients.
La bibliothèque peut ainsi être partiellement ouverte, totalement remplie, ou évoluer au fil du temps — en fonction d’une nouvelle collection de livres, d’un objet déco à exposer ou simplement d’un changement de saison.
C’est une manière concrète d’allier design, modularité et durabilité : la bibliothèque n’est pas figée, elle vit avec ceux qui l’habitent.
Ce que cette rénovation a changé
Ce duplex parisien de 50 m² est passé d’un espace cloisonné, sombre et peu fonctionnel à un lieu de vie fluide, lumineux et structuré, pensé pour évoluer avec ses habitants. Grâce à des choix esthétiques assumés et à des solutions techniques sur mesure (bibliothèque modulable, mezzanine ajourée, cuisine ouverte…), cet appartement a gagné en volume, en confort et en cohérence.
